The Yoast SEO plugin enables CHHS web content manager to easily analyze and make Search Engine Optimization adjustments to elements on individual pages. The cost for Yoast SEO Premium is $99/annually.
Each subsite within our WordPress environment needs to be configured!

Integrations
The SEMRUSH integration is nice for doing keyword research directly on the page.
The Advanced Custom Fields plugin integration allows the Yoast SEO Premium plugin to analyze content within content blocks which were custom built for the CHHS WordPress theme.

Sitemaps
For new sites be sure to submit the sitemap via the Google Search Console
Overview > Indexing > Sitemaps
Enter /nameofsite/page-sitemap.xml
Click Submit
Lastly add a reference to the subsite sitemap to the Robots.txt file using the Yoast plugin
In WordPress > My Sites > Network Admin > Plugins > Yoast SEO > Edit Files
Add the following “Sitemap: https://www.chhs.colostate.edu/nameofsite/page-sitemap.xml” then click “Save changes to robots.txt file
