RDC Enscape Fall 2023 Fix

This page only applies to the front lab of the RDC Computer Lab. Enscape is working on the computers in the back of the RDC lab (as long as there is no class in session) as well as all computers in the PreCon labs, 200: https://www.chhs.colostate.edu/technology/student-computer-labs/preconstruction-center-200/ and 201: https://www.chhs.colostate.edu/technology/student-computer-labs/preconstruction-center-201/

In order to get Enscape to run on certain computers in the RDC computer lab, Hardware-accelerated Ray Tracing must be turned off. The computers that are effected are the ones inside the red box here:

The computers on the two rows against the walls (i.e. not inside the red box) already work as-is without issue, and do not need this setting changed.

The setting you need to turn off can be found inside of SketchUp, under Extensions, Enscape, General Settings:

You will need to turn OFF the setting labeled Hardware-accelerated Ray-tracing:

Once you have done that, you need to fully close out of SketchUp and re-open it, and then you will be able to use Enscape.
