Settings

• Network Admin Email is set to the shared webmaster mailbox. Any of the IT Managers will have access to this mailbox.

• Keep Registration is disabled selected

• Keep the setting to send an email to the network admin each time a new site and/or user is registered

• Upload file types is set to a very limited list by design and max upload file size is 4MB

Limit Login Attempts is a network plugin that allows us to track the number of failed login attempts to the site. This was added in Spring 2023 to mitigate brute force attack attempts.

Disable Comments is a network plugin to remove the commenting feature on select (or all) sites within a WordPress environment. We have disabled on ALL sites.

WP Main SMTP is a plugin that allows us to configure SMTP for our WordPress sites. We have are not using the Pro version, so we have to configure SMTP and every site. See ADD SITE section for more information.

Yoast SEO is a plugin that allows us to configure meta descriptions on each page to help with page ranking

Sites that are password protected should be set to Disallow in the robots.txt file under Yoast SEO > Edit Files
