Gibbons 101 AV Instructions

Overview

Gibbons 101 is set up with a Teams-enabled video conferencing system. The speakers and camera are located at the front of the room, under the projection screen. The Logitech Tap and remote are used to control the room and are located near the center of the conference room table. Content can be shared to the screen by joining/starting a Teams meeting or plugging an HDMI cable into a laptop.

How to Power AV on/off

  1. Use the control panel on the wall (northwest corner of the room) → Press “On” under Display and leave “Wireless” selected. The projector will turn on and the screen will lower.

  2. Use the Logitech Tap at the center of the conference room table to use the AV.

  3. When done with the room, go to the wall control panel and press “Off” under Display.

Teams Meeting - Start Meeting, Share Content, Control Camera/Audio/Microphone

Start Teams Meeting

  • If a Teams Meeting already exists for the meeting, locate your meeting on the Logitech Tap and press “Join”

  • If a Teams Meeting does not exist, press “Meet” on the Logitech Tap. You can then invite participants to join from the Logitech Tap.

Sharing Content in a Teams Meeting

To share content in a Teams meeting:

  • Join the Teams meeting with your computer and share your screen/window as you normally would in a Teams meeting.

  • Plug the HDMI cable at the center of the conference room table into your laptop. This will share the entire screen of your laptop. To stop sharing, remove the HDMI cable or press the button to stop sharing on the Logitech Tap.

Using the Remote - Camera, Audio, Microphone Control

The Logitech remote can be used for manually controlling the room camera, audio, and microphone. Manually controlling the camera is not required as the camera will automatically focus on those speaking in the room.

Projecting/Sharing Content Without a Teams Meeting

To share content when not in a Teams meeting:

  • Plug the HDMI cable at the center of the conference room table into your laptop. This will share the entire screen of your laptop. To stop sharing, remove the HDMI cable or press the button to stop sharing on the Logitech Tap.

  • Start a Teams meeting by pressing “Meet” on the Logitech Tap. Then, join the Teams meeting with your computer and share your screen/window as you normally would in a Teams meeting.
