This article will help you understand how to accept someone else’s shift coverage request.
Instructions
To accept someone’s coverage request, click on the Schedule dropdown menu in the navigation bar, then select Coverage.
On that page you will see a list of coverage requests with an Actions button. If you’d like to accept a request and add it to your schedule, click Actions → Accept. You will be asked to confirm. You can modify the times as long as they are within the shift’s bounds. The minimum coverage time is 30 minutes.
Once you accept a shift, you can see it on your schedule in a dark red color.
If you decide you don’t want to cover that shift anymore, you can click on it and request coverage for it like any other shift.
Some more complicated, unique requests will need to be handled by an administrator.
