The following article should help you add an announcement to both the Lab Tools web application and also have that announcement propagate to the College website through the Lab Tools Web API.

Creating an Announcement

 

  1. To create an announcement go to Manage → Announcements → Add Announcement

  2. Add in a title and body for the announcement

  3. To have this announcement be shown on the college website, select “Show on CSU Website”

  4. To have this announcement be shown on all pages of the lab tools web application, select “Show on Lab Tools”

  5. To show only on the user dashboard, select “Show on all user dashboard”

  6. Select the labs that you want this announcement to show up on. To make it show up on the General Lab page on the college website, slick “Show on Generic Lab Page”
