Summer Orientation / Lab Guest Login Instructions
Overview
Instructions detailed below on how to login to a CHHS lab computer using a guest account, access student email, complete registration in RamWeb, and print schedules.
You should receive a sheet with login bar codes from the lab operator when you arrive
The sheet will have bar codes corresponding with the guest username and password
LabOps: you can find the login barcodes here: S:\CHHS Computer Labs\OrientationLogin.docx
** Only LabOps have access to that file location
The lab operator will also provide you with a USB bar code scanner
Plug the scanner into the USB port on the computer you are logging into
Click on the username field and scan the username
You can also type the username, but the scanner helps speed up login for everyone, and prevents typos
Click on the password field and scan the password
You can also type the password, but the scanner helps speed up login for everyone, and prevents typos
Wait about 30 seconds for everything to load after logging in
Close out of any windows that may have automatically opened (i.e. Teams)
Open Google Chrome from the desktop icon, or from the Windows Start Menu
Student Email (Outlook web app)
In Google Chrome, click the CHHS Lab Bookmarks tab, and select Office 365 in the drop-down
Enter the student’s eName (or NetID), followed by @colostate.edu
Note: NetIDs will be replacing eIDs starting July 2022. Those with existing eIDs will keep their eID, while new students and employees will receive a NetID. NetIDs work exactly the same as eIDs.
The student must enter their eID (or NetID) password to login to Outlook
RAMweb
Leave the email tab open, and open a new tab in Google Chrome
Click the CHHS Lab Bookmarks tab, and select RAMweb in the drop-down
Login to RAMweb with the same eID (or NetID) credentials
Printing
Upon login, the chhslabs account automatically signed into PaperCut
The chhslabs account has a balance of $50 in print credits at the beginning of each summer
When you send a print job, enter the chhslabs credentials when prompted
Notify a LabOp or contact the CHHS Helpdesk if the chhslabs account print credits are low or have run out
If you have any problems or questions, work with the lab operator, or reach out to CHHS Helpdesk by emailing chhshelpdesk@colostate.edu or calling 970-491-3458
