Create Subdomain
First, make sure your CNAME records are set under the chhs.colostate.edu and/or colostate.edu domains using the dnsadmin.colostate.edu tool. Point those CNAME records to host livechhs.wpengine.com

If you have multiple subdomains (or aliases) to set up for a single site, you’ll create all of the subdomains and then pick one that the others will redirect to. For example, if you have www.dm.chhs.colostate.edu, dm.chhs.colostate.edu, www.dm.colostate.edu, and dm.colostate.edu, you will pick one of these to be the domain that the other three redirect to.
Login to WPEngine > Sites > select livechhs > click Domains > Add Domain

Enter domain name > click Next

Click Return to Domains > repeat until you’ve entered the other domains (aliases)

Set up Redirects
Choose one subdomain that the others will redirect to and then set the redirects on those by clicking on the … to the right of the domain > select the main subdomain that you have decided to redirect the others to > Click Save changes

Repeat this for the other subdomains/aliases
Now Redirect the main subdomain to the correct URI path of the WordPress site > Click Redirect Rules > New redirect rule

Give it a name > select the main subdomain (the one that you have the others redirecting to in the previous steps) > Source should be ^/ (not ^/? as shown in the screenshot) > enter the destination - the WordPress address which will start with https://www.chhs.colostate.edu/ > click Save

Request SSL Certificates
Click SSL > Click Add Certificates > click the checkbox next to all sites you want to order certs for (you can select as many as you need to at one time). Certificates auto-renew every 60 days or so!

Note: You may see this message leading you to believe that you have some issues with your sub-domains, it just takes a bit for the domain checker to catch up with the changes that were made.

The dashboard shows the three sites: livechhs, stagechhs, and devchhs - click on the site to view the details. View the PHP and WordPress versions from the dashboard and retrieve the support PIN in the bottom left of the screen.
