In CHHS WordPress, users exist on 2 levels

: Network and Site

  • This view shows a list of users, when they registered, and what sites they have access to.

  • New user will sign in with SSO to create a “subscriber” account

  • Admin then configures account

  • User accepts invitation

  • Then they will show on list of users with access to the site you added them toSee the total number of users and the number of Super Admins

Add User

  • Add New users to the network from this screen. Give users access to sites by visiting the site > users section.

  • Users can also gain access to the network by signing in with SSO. This creates a “subscriber” account. Admins then give users access to sites by visiting the site > users section.

As of January 2023 - all CHHS WordPress users should be signing in with CSU SSO.

Edit User

  • If you find a user isn’t signing in using SSO, visit the edit user screen

  • Click Set New Password

  • Click Update User then email the user and remind them to sign in using CSU SSO.

Tip

Admins should periodically audit the list of users within WordPress, delete inactive user accounts.

Delete User

  • You will see a list of sites the user had access to.

  • Select what you wish to do with the content owned by this users

Note

Attribute content to another user, otherwise it will be deleted.

  • Click Confirm Deletion.
