1. Launch Outlook, go to the File tab, and click Add Account.
2. In the Your Name: box, enter in the name of the mailbox. 
3. In the 'E-mail Address:' box, enter the full email address of the mailbox that needs to be added.
   1. Full mailbox names can be found through Outlook's Address Book.
      1. Find the mailbox in the Address Book, double-click it, and navigate to the E-mail Addresses tab. The full name will be something along the lines of chhs-<department>_<mailbox name>@mail.Colostate.edu
      2. Ex: chhs-hdfs_campus_connections@mail.colostate.edu
4. Leaving the other boxes blank, click Next:

6. The user You will be prompted to enter a password, but they you will need to add the mailbox with their your own CSU credentials, so click 'Sign in with another account'
7. Have the user enter their Enter your eName@colostate.edu. Click Next.
8. Have the user enter their Enter your password, and click Sign in
9. If the user has you have permission to the mailbox, everything should be good! Restart Outlook for the changes to take effect.

1. Open a web browser and go to portal.office.com
2. Have the user sign Sign in with their your eName@colostate.edu and their your CSU password
3. Once signed in and in the Mail area, right click on theiryour Last,First name in the left menu and choose Add shared folder...
4. Enter the name of the mailbox. It should auto-populate, making it easier to find. 
5. Click Add, and it should be good to go!

Connecting a Student without an @colostate (exchange) email address to a Shared Mailbox via the Web

1. Have them go Go to http://outlook.office365.com/owa/<emailAddressHere>@mail.colostate.edu i.e. http://outlook.office365.com/owa/chhs_helpdesk@mail.colostate.edu
2. It may ask them you to sign in. If it does, they you will use their your eName@colostate.edu as the username and their your own eID password for the password.

      This way students can get access without us having to provision them an @colostate email address. This is Microsoft's "preferred" method for accessing shared email boxes from a non-fully provisioned account.
