Pulling in jobs from Handshake using RSS Aggregator and shortcodes:
- Log in with your eID here: https://colostate.joinhandshake.com/
- Click your name in the upper right corner
- Go to ‘School Settings’
- Go to ‘External Feeds’
- Under your name, click ‘New External Feed’
- Name the feed and click next
- From there, you can add all the filters you want for that feed
- When you are done adding filters, click next
- Set the status to Published and click Save ChangesCreate the custom RSS feeds in Handshake (you need admin privileges and Barbara Richardson in the Career Center can assist with that).
- Use the custom RSS link with the RSS Aggregator plugin in WordPress.
- Log in to the CMS
- Click RSS Aggregator
- Go to 'Feed Sources'
- Click 'Add New'
- Give it a name
- Copy and paste the URL from Handshake
- Click 'validate feed' to make sure there are no issues
- Click 'Publish Feed'
- Open page where you want the feed to display (or create a new page) - Career Services is a good example
- Add 'Routing Slab with Callouts' slab to the page
- In the 'Body Text' of the 'Callout' you will see the RSS icon, click on that
- Select your feed source from the list
- Click 'Add shortcode'
- Click 'Update'
